3 Young Boys Dressed Like The Bee Gees Make Everyone’s Jaws Drop The Moment They Start To Sing

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and it’s also not a bad way to learn how to sing difficult songs. One kids’ group from the Philippines used this method of attack to tackle the difficult vocal stylings of one of the most iconic groups of all time.

Boy bands are groups of vocalists, some who also play instruments, that aim to fill a pop music niche. From the Beatles to One Direction, these are storied acts and inspire younger musicians to follow in their footsteps.

One such group comes from the Philippines, debuted on a show named Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids, with the apt moniker TNT Boys. They were a sensation and won it handily.

Naturally, for these young men, their talent is in their voices. They aren’t writing or recording original music yet, there’s still plenty of time for that. So, this means that most of their performances are covers.

In fact, if you’ve seen these kids before, they were likely performing a cover version of “Listen” by Beyoncé. They performed it on the Filipino show Gadang Gabi Vice, after host Vice Ganda asked them to. Since then the clip went viral, and they performed the show on Little Big Shots.

For their next performance after their big tour performing that song on shows, they needed a new group to cover. They found the perfect one.

The Bee Gees were a group from England comprised of Maurice, Barry, and Robin Gibb, along with various other musicians over the years. They’d been performing together since the 1950s, but it was their “comeback” tour in the 1970s that saw them skyrocket to superstardom.

Most folks think of the Bee Gees as a disco group, especially because of their biggest hit, “Stayin’ Alive.” However, their catalog is very deep, including many soulful ballads that showed off the Gibbs’ high vocal ranges.

So, TNT Boys decided that they would sing one of their songs. But, they also went the extra mile.

For their first television performance of the Bee Gees classic “Too Much Heaven,” the TNT Boys dressed up like the singers, complete with 70’s disco suits and receding hairlines.

The show, on one of the biggest networks in the Philippines, is called Your Face Sounds Familiar, because performers dress up like the singers whose songs they cover.

In fact, the TNT Boys’ stage show looks as if it could have been a freeze-frame of a 1970s-era television variety show.

The song they chose is a great one, the first single after the success of their smash-hit soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever. This tune was them showing off to their new fans that they were not just some disco group, but classic rhythm and blues singers.

It’s a great song for the TNT Boys to sing in order to make a similar statement.

Watch their cute and hilarious performance below.
