The dancers cannot hear the music playing, so 6 directors in help them synchronize with the music and each other. The dance describes the legend of Bodhisattva Guan Yin a Proto-Buddha with 1000 hands. She can not become a Buddha because she is still attached to this world. She has vowed that “if there is still a single drop of tear in this world, I will not become a Buddha”.
